FOUNDATIONAL COURSES
DANCE HISTORY
This class was very informative and expanded over so much knowledge and history about this art form. It was really interesting to learn about where it all came from and how it adapted into what it is today and the main influencers that changed it along the way. Another really important aspect of this class was that we got to discuss as a group about different things we found interesting in the history and it really help me understand different sections of what we were learning.
ELECTRICS PRACTICUM
Having no prior knowledge and or interest in the field of electrics IÂ really enjoyed this class. I really loved how we got to explore the behind the scenes type of work that goes into putting on shows in the theatre. I also really enjoyed just learning the material and being able to hang lights and focus them because they way light is used in any type of show whether it be theatre or dance creates a big impact.
DANCE KINESIOLOGY
I also really enjoyed taking this foundational course as we got to dive deep into our bodies and figure out why we move in the way we do. It was especially valuable to learn about the anatomical places of all of your bones and muscles so if something were to happen to your body you can get a sense of where the pain is coming from and possible ways to make it better.
